A 4-credit, 40 question CE Program based on the book Child Custody: Practice Standards, Ethical Issues, and Legal Safeguards for Mental Health Professionals by Robert Henley Woody, PhD, JD. Participants will increase their understanding of practice standards for child custody cases as well as the ethical dilemmas and legal risks confronting mental health practitioners who enter the family law arena. Dr. Woody clarifies roles and functions for work in such cases and defines the core areas for custody evaluations. Specialized intervention, assessment, and risk management strategies are presented.
