Domestic Violence for Mental Health Professionals
A 1-credit, 10 question CE Program based on Domestic Violence for Mental Health Professionals by Carolyn Stimel, PhD, ABPP. Participants in this program will increase their knowledge and understanding of domestic violence, including special issues regarding domestic violence in rural populations, juveniles, and domestic partners; secrecy when violence occurs; domestic homicide; screening for domestic violence; and referral options and safety planning.

About the Presenter: Dr. Carolyn Stimel is a Forensic Psychologist who served as a gubernatorial appointee on the Florida Task Force on Domestic and Sexual Violence. She is a former president of the Florida Psychological Association. Dr. Stimel has a private practice in Tallahassee, Florida in which she provides individual psychotherapy, law enforcement consultation, and forensic consultation to attorneys in both criminal and civil cases. She is also a consultant to the Florida Sexually Violent Predator Program as well as other agencies.
