Ann L. Dunnewold, PhD, is a licensed psychologist specializing in women's mental health issues related to reproductive function, including prenatal and postpartum adjustment, pregnancy loss, infertility, and premenstrual syndrome (PMS). In independent practice in Dallas, she has served as president of Postpartum Support International, as well as a member of the advisory boards for Depression After Delivery National, La Leche League, and the Dallas Association for Parent Education. Dr. Dunnewold is frequently an invited guest speaker to lay audiences on women's and family issues and she provides continuing education to a wide range of professional groups, including nurses, midwives, and therapists. She is co-author with Dr. Diane Sanford of Postpartum Survival Guide: It Wasn't Supposed to be Like This (1994, New Harbinger Publications, Inc.), as well as several other publications on postpartum issues. Dr. Dunnewold is a consultant appearing in two videos: Happy, Healthy Babies and Moms: The First Ninety Days and Postpartum Emotions: The Blues and Beyond, produced by Family Experience Productions, Inc. |
